A photo, which was broadcasted by a Pakistani Television showing Osama Bin Laden’s dead body, is fake, reports British newspaper, The Guardian.
The image shows a man who is a look-alike of Laden. It shows disfigured face of the man having blood and scars and a blank, half-opened eye, said The Guardian.
According to the website, this fake image has been circulating on the internet for the last two years. Major websites like the Mail, Times, Telegraph, Sun and Mirror used the same image but when it was revealed that it was fake, they removed it from their websites, it said.
According to the guardian, the Middle East e-paper - themedialine.org – was the first to publish the image in April 2009, however, along with a warning – "unable to ascertain whether the photo is genuine or not".
